We shall also use meditation to uncover your True Nature - peace, contentment, & openness.
Limited availability in the main building (only 11 bunk-beds), with 2-4 bunk-beds in a room.
No single rooms.
Includes all meals, hot showers, & shared bathroom.
Beds will be allocated on first-come bases & gender.
Best availability - with access to a compost toilet and hot showers in the camping utility shed.
You will eat with the group in the main building.
No caravans.
No dogs.
You must organise your own accommodation.
Pay for camping (below), and let Colin know you have arranged off-site accommodation and he will return the camping fee (£30).

This is not a silent retreat. There will be space for quiet contemplation. You're asked to respect those who need quiet. No music (via any electric device) on the campsite.
Silence after 10pm till 7am.
Dancing anywhere - especially in the main event-room between sessions.
You're encouraged to go for walks, but restrictions apply.
We are all here together to evolve.
Part of the reason the venue is affordable is because there is no staff.
Please be willing to assist the Retreat Leader and Chef.
Please tidy up after yourself.
Please follow instructions at the end of the retreat so Colin doesn't have to clean up.
Burnlaw Retreat was owned by Quakers, but now owned by a community of Baha, so quiet, spiritual energy is baked into the fabric of the land.

The amenities are rustic, and basic, but clean.
Mobile signal is mostly non-existent, and there is no wifi. No alcohol permitted.
Colin Ellis (aka pen-name QC Ellis) is known as a maverick, who wrote the book: "There Are Only 7 Ways to Meditate'' where he outlines the IntrAnaut Meditation framework.
Despite his logical mind and scepticism, Colin has found himself travelling a path of Self discovery and awakening.
His 'spiritual' journey started in the '90s, when he decided to learn Spiritual Healing (via the NFSH), then meditation via the local Buddhist centre.
He also ventured into learning therapeutic modalities (TFT, EFT, NLP, Sedona Method, etc., etc.), simply because it might help him and others.
Colin's journey toward awakening - which he says is more of an "unconscious path to awakening" has had many twists, including:
3, 6, 9, and 12 month meditation retreats in solitary & silence before realising Buddhism was not HIS path - although the teachings are amazing;
attended (and assisted on) many
Enlightenment Intensives (EI);
learning from the founder of the
Satori Protocol (an offshoot of the EI);
and others (e.g., he got his chakras ripped out by a Shaman. LOL).
At 60 years, he would love to facilitate this retreat with you so we can all evolve together.

If you drop your core beliefs and their identifications (and the emotional charge and behaviours) from your problematic (ego-driven) parts, this leads to real, experiential, personal evolution.
Colin's uses the word "Ego" to mean: the sum of all your beliefs about who and what you are.
Whatever words come after "I am..." is a belief relating to your identify. All these identifications build your Ego (a mental construct).
Colin believes there is a part of each of us that is deeper than the personality (a term, synonymous with Ego), which he calls your True Self (beyond physical and mental reality).
Some people want to make their mistaken (apparently unhelpful) beliefs about themselves (the Ego) - into the enemy.
Colin believes in Non-Violent Communication, and this also relates to how you treat every part of yourself - including any 'unhelpful' part of your mind, emotions, or behaviour.
The retreat is highly practical, with simple but profound techniques you may use on yourself on a daily basis. You shall also receive FREE additional support after the event via intrAnaut.app (or download the mobile app from https://intrAnaut.space ). The app, website, and membership is FREE to you now. But retreat participants shall be given access to a special, VIP membership.
If you have the means, there is also 1-1 coaching available. Group coaching could be arranged if enough people want it.
In recent decades, just as there has been an explosion in computer capability, there has been a revolution in therapeutic techniques that are faster and more effective than ever. There has also been an evolution in the way people can experience Satori (of who you are — I AM THAT) — and the founder of the Satori Protocol taught Colin.
This method releases your identifications, then takes you further. It is experiential, non-invasive, no faith is required, and you can do it in a meditation (without visualising), or outside meditation.
Once you learn the protocol, you can use it by yourself (no facilitator/therapist/coach is required). To clarify: Colin will only coach you on a part of the Satori Protocol, so you can use that part on yourself.
No. It depends on your definition of enlightenment. Colin can only claim you will have a unique and exceptional tool to transform your personal evolution. Colin believes; dropping one's core beliefs and identifications is a major breakthrough toward transforming your life.
For him, to share with you a protocol where there is no mental cutting/deleting/attacking parts of yourself, is non-intrusive, no blind faith is required — and actually works — is amazing! Let's evolve together.
Colin is busting to tell you! However, his experience has shown him that a quick, easy technique will be dismissed by the Ego. In fact, there is a psychological name for how that happens, called the "Apex Problem".
You need to experience it - not just once, but several times - to really see clearly the evidence of it working. To gather the evidence so you know it wasn't just a fluke, nor a situational thing that will never occur again...
Because it is so easy, people tend to complicate it, so we need time to iron out that temptation.
Because it is so profound in its outcomes, parts of us might feel they are being attacked. That's why Colin is putting a lot of emphasis on nurturing, through the enhanced melt-stress protocol, but also the whole retreat.
The other tools make the protocol quicker, and help with any overwhelm - therefore they are a part of the package.
Although you will have several tools to use daily, people will generally need a kick-start to move forward. Let's get you past the inertia of starting something new, and motivated to transform your personal evolution!
Yes. You need to be of sound mind and body. The retreat centre has stairs to the main meditation space (no wheelchair access). Talk to Colin if you are unsure about mental health issues (anxiety or stress are not necessarily an issue).
Colin will hold a workshop to prepare you with an Advanced Melt Stress in Minutes protocol — so you don't have to learn it on the retreat, but can use it to prepare.
Become a member of the FREE app (or go to Colin's class) to learn to meditate (not essential, but will help everything work better during the retreat).
The basic Melt Stress in Minutes (MSIM) is on the app now. You will be given FREE access. The Advanced MSIM will be added, and retreat participants will be given FREE access.
Maybe. You are asked not to fast during this weekend retreat. If you have a particular intolerance/allergy, please let Colin know ASAP. Unless someone says they are allergic - to nuts for instance - then the chef will bring and cook with nuts, so when you get there it will be too late to mention it.
No special diets, unrelated to life-or-death allergies, will be catered for. You are welcome to bring any extra food or snacks & drinks (no alcohol).
The chef will cook mostly vegan recipes, with some vegetarian options. There will be coffee & teas, oat-milk, and cows milk.
Breakfast is self-service, with porridge, breads, butter, eggs, & beans, and anything people bring to share (no meat).
